Workshops

The following are workshops I offer in my private practice each year.  Please feel free to call or email me for further information regarding days and times of scheduled events.

Help Her Heal Men's Group

Empathy to the Rescue!! When a Partner has experienced infidelity in their most significant relationship through affairs, sex addiction and pornography, the relational betrayal can be devastating. In this Help Her Heal Group, open to all men in recovery from infidelity and sex addiction, you will learn tools to identify and express empathy, transparency and honesty.

You will learn to recognize the fears, doubts, pain, anger, mis-trust and trauma that comes up, and how to provide your partner with the empathy and reassurance they deserve to rebuild your fractured relationship. With self- compassion and empathy, the goal of this Workshop is to aid you in moving your relationship toward a new state of emotional health and well-being.

Daring Greatly Workshop

During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, worthiness and connection. We examine thoughts, emotions and behaviors that get in the way of embracing our own authenticity. We identify new choices and practices that will move us toward a life of joy, gratitude and wholehearted living. With self-compassion and empathy, I invite you to step out into the arena of your life.

Rising Strong 8 Week Groups for Men & Women

“The physics of vulnerability is simple: If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. Rising Strong is about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write daring new endings. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage, and rising strong, the clearest path to a wholehearted life.”
~Brene Brown, Ph.D., LMSW

The goal of this process is to rise from our falls, over-come our mistakes, and face hurt in a way that brings more wisdom and wholeheartedness into our lives.

Questionnaire Required to Attend

The Reckoning: Walking Into Our Story

Recognize emotion, and get curious about our feelings and how they connect with the way we think and behave.

The Rumble: Owning our Story

Get honest about the stories we’re making up about our struggle, then challenge these confabulations and assumptions to determine what’s truth, what’s self-protection, and what needs to change if we want to lead more wholehearted lives.

The Revolution

Write a new ending to our story based on the key learnings from our rumble and use this new, braver story to change how we engage with the world and to ultimately transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead. – (Brene Brown)

The most DANGEROUS STORIES WE MAKE UP ARE THE narratives that diminish our INHERENT WORTHINESS. WE MUST CLAIM THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR LOVEABILITY, DIVINITY and creativity
~Brene Brown, Ph.D., LMSW

Are you ready to:

– Get Curious about the Stories you make up that are Wreaking Havoc on your Worthiness, Self-Esteem, Relationships, and Life?
– When we deny our stories, they define us. When we run from struggle, we are never free. Are you ready to turn toward truth and look it in the eye? – (Brene Brown)

Mandala Workshop

Mandala is the Sanskrit word for “magic circle” and is a symbol of wholeness and completeness, symbolizing the self.  While symbols describe and give order in our daily life, they have deeper meanings to our psyche or soul.  Our lives are a continuous journey through the light and the dark, a striving for integration of our outer and inner worlds.

You are invited to take such a journey, creating your own personal mandala, an opportunity to add depth and meaning at this juncture of your life.  Come explore, create, and share in a safe, nurturing environment!

Dream Workshop

Carl Jung states:  “An uninterpreted dream, is like an unopened gift from God.”  I have had the pleasure of studying with and being in, an ongoing dream group for over 10 years with Dr. Connie Rodriguez, master dream weaver and author of the book, Gifts of the Soul.  I have a deep appreciation for the power of our dreams as being reflective of both our outside and inside world.

Through the use of themes, settings, symbols, associations, and other elements of our dreams, you will learn to interpret your own dreams, and to use your new insights to discover the meaning in your waking life.  This workshop is based on the interviewing style of Gayle Delaney, Ph.D., an internationally renowned dream expert.
